About us
The National Center for Mental Health, China (NCMH), under the National Health Commission, is a national-level technical institution focused on mental health. As a professional institution in China, the center is responsible for providing technical guidance and support regarding mental health and related issues.

Our mission
The primary duties of the National Center for Mental Health include,
·Conduct research on theory, policy, and standards
·Carry out scientific investigations, monitoring, and evaluations related to mental health issues
·Provide technical support for mental health crisis interventions and psychological assistance in public emergencies
·Optimize national mental health assistance hotline services
·Manage mental health services, including prevention and treatment of mental disorders, and conduct research on related issues facing youth, professionals, seniors, and disabled people
·Enhance the structure of the overall mental health prevention and control system
·Provide technical support for establishing a public mental health services
·Implement and provide technical support for psychosocial and community psychiatric rehabilitation services
·Provide education to foster a wider scientific understanding of mental health and wellness issues among the general public
·Promote training of mental health professionals
·Engage in technical research on mental health to realize results-based transformational achievements
·Organize international exchanges and cooperation
